MICHAEL UNDSETH-GYLLENBERG
EUCIP-certified system consultant with experience in web development, operation and maintenance of network solutions since 1995. Phase-in and phase-out of hardware in office environments. Networks and installations. In Norway and abroad. Quality through analysis. The development and adaptation of websites varies in time and complexity, and the price depends on several factors, including hours, scope and the chosen solutions. For existing websites, revisions of text, graphics, design are offered. The pages are tested on different screen sizes, to ensure an optimal user experience. Text and images are something that the client must ensure and have ready before the websites can be built. A thorough planning and preparation of the content is therefore essential. After this, a timetable is drawn up which takes into account the necessary steps. I do not develop websites for private individuals.
Cooperation between agencies and media companies is an opportunity for mutual exchange of expertise. By sharing knowledge, we achieve synergies that contribute to maximizing the utilization of resources. Every company depends on services, also when it comes to serving other companies. We all need services from others in order to efficiently produce our own.
The central thing is to meet the needs of others. By working together, we ensure that the customer’s online presence is at the highest level. It is therefore important to map out strategies as a tool to ensure successful implementation. Successful partnerships are dependent of all parties working together as if they were employed by the same company.

INVITO
At Invito, I led and taught an AMO class in online shopping for 4 months. Focus on Joomla and PrestaShop. I designed the training to give participants a comprehensive understanding of how to build and manage an online store. With Joomla, the focus was on building websites that could function as a platform for the e-commerce solution PrestaShop. Included in the course: Installation, configuration, extensions and customization of templates, payment solutions, shipping options and customer service tools. The participants gained the insight to monitor the store’s performance and make decisions for further development. The course emphasized understanding online customers’ needs, and optimizing functionality for user experience. In order to ensure that the participants received the necessary support to achieve the course objectives, I provided individual guidance and adapted the teaching for certain individuals. Alongside this, I developed Invito’s new websites and acted as an IT advisor to the management. In 2009, NAV Oslo ordered the course for 26 users.
KPNQWEST NORWAY
I worked at IT operations in KPNQwest Norway. Review of system load, disk space and logging of errors in «Big Brother System and Network Monitor». Operation of internal IP and telephony for employees and access control. KPNQwest Euro Rings med undervannslinjer til USA
KPNQwest Euro Rings med undervannslinjer til USA
KPNQwest was a merger of the Dutch telecommunications company KPN and Qwest Communications in Denver U.S.A. KPNQwest brought together the fiber optic networks of the partners and the expertise in IP services and customer base from EUnet International. KPNQwest built and operated its own fiber network. Transmission speed on the network was 100 megabits per second. With 80 colors in each fiber of 120. With all fibers in the network, the network reached 6 times the length of the moon. KPNQwest.
KPNQwest had 50 offices in Europe and during its four-year history, the company created a unique, «nothing-is-impossible» culture among its 2,500 employees. For the twelve months ending in 2000, the company reported a turnover of 462 million Euro. In 2001, it was estimated that KPNQwest covered over 50% of all European IP traffic. That same year, the company collapsed in a spectacular bankruptcy due to the general dot-com boom (the decline was first triggered by the collapse of WorldCom, Enron and Anderson). Inflated capacity requirements led to artificial income figures and many began to make large agreements with each other (Hollow Swaps), which gave incorrect guidance to the companies’ management and investors.

In the 1980s, EUnet was one of the few networks connecting European users to the wider international Internet, thus becoming a pioneer in commercial networking in the region. Eunet was also the first to provide business with 11 Mb via antennas in Norway. The Norwegian part of EUnet was, among other things, the basis for today’s NUUG (Norwegian Unix User Group). Both EUnet and KPNQwest were directly connected to NIX, Norway’s hub for traffic out to the internet. EUnet Norge AS was continued as KPNQwest on 1 April 2001. More about EUnet
